This esteemed weekly magazine was founded by Jesuits of the United States in 1909, and is a member of the Catholic Press Association. Its parent company, America Press, Inc., is a nonprofit, tax exempt corporation. The Associated Press calls this publication "required Roman Catholic reading" under its current editor, Thomas Reese.

Commonweal - A Review of Religion, Politics, and Culture

The oldest independent lay Catholic journal of opinion in the United States; Commonweal holds that America has much to learn from Catholicism, and vice versa. Look for intelligent editorials, columns, essays, poetry, reviews of books, movies, plays, and the media.

National Catholic Reporter

The National Catholic Reporter (NCR) is an independent newsweekly that supports a full, honest, and open exchange of ideas while working out of a Roman Catholic tradition and an ecumenical spirit. NCR reports on national and international news with valuable commentary on matters related to the church.

The Revealer

The Revealer is a daily review of religion in the news published by the New York University Dept of Journalism and Center for Religion and Media. It is nonpartisan, with articles by and links to work by people with a variety of religious, political, sexual, and critical viewpoints.

The Tablet
